I found both of the main characters incredibly idiotic. And the villain was a cardboard cartoon character. The narration wasn't great either. But I bought 10 of these books, so I'll keep listening!

I did enjoy this book but a lot did sound like Borg from Star Trek collective, named by numbers, resistance is futile etc.
it's a very interesting story and having kindred with emotional dampener but claiming a bride at same time.
I absolutely love Yipper, I hope he stays in rest of books.
It has taken me a while to get this through book, this one strongly leads into next story for cursed kindred.

Didn't think I was going to be down with the whole sexy-cyborg thing... but this was an excellent addition to the series (I mean, let's be honest... it still wasn't up to Sylvan standards... but I don't think it's possible to top that one, for me anyway). Love, love, loved Six! And cannot even wait for Stavros... let's get to it :p

Surprised by how this book played out, figured she would try to make the mechanical parts of him sexy to Mei-Li but thankfully that didn't happen. I know she said way back around book 8 or 9 that she would be ending the series soon but if she thinks there is more story to tell, then I think she should tell it but not to forces it just because the readers want more. Which is why I'm really excited for the next book [b:Cursed|22886694|Cursed (Brides of the Kindred, #13)|Evangeline Anderson|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/book/50x75-6121bf4c1f669098041843ec9650ca19.png|42456363] although I had hoped it would feature Claudia as the future mate but still looks to be a good story.

I have to say, I really, really liked this book! I have tried reading many of the BOTK books and I couldn't ever enjoy them much because of the way the heroines are often written but Mei-Li was likeable and I loved Six/Jax :) I hope there are more enjoyable books in this series as I'm willing to pick through them to find the gold.

Terminator meets kindred. Excellent world craft once more with another amazing planet for our reluctant lovers to play out their story on. This book really is key to the ongoing plot of the series but still manages to be a great story in its own right
