Terry and Marjorie have started a new life in the country. Their hope was to escape some of the issues Marjorie was having. All starts off well until they discover an odd flower, among other things near an adjoining property. Little did they know their nightmare was just beginning.
This was my first time reading Smith’s work and I felt this was a great intro. New Era is packed full of thrills and mystery. I loved how the story shifts from past to present slowing filling in the details of what is currently happening to Terry and his family. They were prepared to enjoy their new life only to find out the hard way there would be no escape from what was happening. When everything is uncovered the author delivers a twist I wasn’t expecting. Overall, I thought this was a great read. A creepy storyline with a great buildup. I look forward to what Smith brings in book two.
