Oh my GOSH!! I Loved this book!! Ahern really knows how to write a story! You can definitely relate to Celestine and cheer her on as she steps out and questions the issues she finds in the world!!

Totally disappointed with Cecelia Ahern for this book... The world wasn't fully developed, the flawed system was terrible, people were awful, it was hard to empathize with the main character... I could go on and on but I'll stop before fully writing a rant here. Usually her books make laugh and cry and I always chose one of her books for a pick me up, because they always make me feel good (except for the year I met you which was meh), but this dystopian book made want to throw the book so hard against the wall... I didn't do it because it's my iPad...

Not my favourite Cecilia Ahern book, but still an enjoyable dystopian YA.

Really interesting concept, took a little time to get into but once I was in, I couldn’t put it down.

There was one part that really annoyed me because it was just so obvious that it was a trap, and I don’t know how Celestine didn’t see that a mile off!

Also, feel like it’s obvious to the reader where the video is - but maybe I’m wrong! Guess I’ll find out in the next one!

Honestly this book showed me a lot. The message that the whole book gave me was that you don't have to be perfect. And that no matter what you do, people with judge you. You could think you are doing the best thing in the world and people wont support you for that. And also, in this book , I saw a lot of showing societal norms. Celestine did things that society didn't like and didn't think were normal and she was shamed for that. While it also showed the other side of things too by seeing the people who  did stuff like that and wanted it to be ok, and the people who didn't do stuff like that but thought it was ok as well, aka activists. I also found this book to be kinda like racism to me in a sense. Except, in this universe you aren't born with it, but you gain it by doing something. And if the law of "No cruel punishments" existed. All in all, I really liked this book and thought it really did kinda show a nice message while still being entertaining.

I don't think I understood anything from this book, but it gave me some old, good 2013 ya sci-fic vibes
