Overall, I think this book was a good follow up to the last book in this series.

The story opens right after Cass and Raven's son is born. There was a mysterious and vague threat left inside the GII offices. Now Raven must track down who is behind the threats before Cass and his son perish.

Cass takes a back seat in this novel, playing more of a damsel-in-distress role than in any of the books, which I found disappointing. Raven starts to become more comfortable now in his role as a good guy.

Chuckie and some of the other familiar characters are absent here, or make only token appearances. A few new characters are introduced.

The novel starts out a bit slow, but picks up by about a 1/3 of the way in. Overall, a very solid book.
