I read this book awhile back and it was an excellent read! It was a really scary book and I just couldn't put it down, I think reading it at night before bed really helped with the atmosphere.

The storyline has a great uneasy atmosphere, which makes you look around the room while reading it.......just in case anything demon like is knocking around........

The characters were interesting and sympathetic and the plot moved along at the right pace. A Ouija board and a deserted dorm building was a great addition to the story.

It was an overall great spine-chilling gothic story and I couldn't put it down till I finished it. I will definitely purchase this again and give it another read. I will also be checking out some other books from the same author.

Pretty creepy at times...the end wasn't as good as I was hoping for. Overall a good read.

Amazing! Great thrilling, well paced, book. Interesting characters, and setting (college dorm during Thanksgiving).

Classic & neat

All in all a standard ghost story. Teen characters are the usual suspects you'd expect in a horror story. Not a bad thing; a classic, straightforward, fairly simple tale. Although the supposedly Kabbalistic ritual is rather unbelievable; "magic words" that work despite no ritual cleansing, separation of genders, or deeper understanding. Would've been better to have Martin expose the ritual stuff. The monster is defeated by a ritual with a brief interlude into "our love/friendship will save him." Would've preferred commitment either way--either dump the ritual & go with friendship, or stick to the ritual.

The core story is good, but it's nothing unique. Plus, it gets unnecessarily offensive at points, which just ruined it for me.
