Another really fun Brandy and Vivian Borne mystery! This one had the extra fun of a trip to New York - and as a New Yorker I loved seeing the big city through their eyes (and loved all the little details included). Let loose at a comic con - this book had its usual lots of laughs and some aw-inducing moments. Being a huge fan of The Sopranos, I loved the extra mod aspects and though I did figure out the big plot twist before Brandy and Viv, I really enjoyed their sleuthing (especially Vivian's side sleuthing - she is so entertaining and ballsy!) I am very much looking forward to the next installment!

This book was great. Finally, there were not too many digressions in the name of comedy! The book was still humorous, and the plot moved quickly. I loved the change in venue, the surprising plot twists, and the unlikely friendships Vivian finds! This may be my favorite in the series so far!

The book was ok to read. I like the small pauses that the authors made. The character of the mother sold me on the story. She is a handful, I dont know how the daughter keeps up with her or she doesn't go to the looney bin. The more you say dont do this she does it. I will definably will pick up another book from them.

Not my favorite of this series. I know it's a cozy, and I read them for a quick, fun read but I do expect a bit more from this author. They relied way too much on the same tired stereotypes of con goers. Yawn. The murderer came from left field although I had sort of figured it out.

Nice cozy mystery. Many reviews have complained about Allen's writing style (adding a lot of parenthesis, comments, etc) but I personally find them part of the charm of this series (not that I would want to read books like that all the times). And let's get real, what dog lover could resist a book with Brad Pit Bull as a murder suspect.
