This book is incredible. As a Métis women I loved reading this modern Métis legend that is steeped in the old stories. This book is for anyone that love Magical Realism and/or anyone who loves modern indigenous stories.

I was confused by the last chapter so I had to look up what it meant. It feels like a second book is inevitable. I wish it wrapped a little cleaner, whatever the ending would have been.

All and all, I like the book. I loved the legend of the Metis people and how it was woven in. Engaging storytelling all around! I'd give it a 3.5
