It took me forever to get through this book. I had a lot of time connecting with it in the beginning, and the plot build up felt really slow until everything came crashing together at the end... and then ended with everything wrapped up nicely in about 10 pages. I felt cheated by the ending of this book.

I thought this was a fantastic book. The story mainly involves Luna, living with her boyfriend Pierre. They are both artists. It also involves the story of Angie, Luna's mother who had a "different" upbringing to most living in a free-love commune. The third person involved is Nat who is a teenage mother who has serious problems which lead to neglect. I did wonder about the significance of Nat's chapters to the story. But they are thrown together towards the end of the book in a shocking twist. The book does involve some "colourful" language, so if you're offended by that I wouldn't recommend it.

However, this is still a great book. I couldn't stop reading it and wanted to know how the characters would link together. Well worth a read. I look forward to reading more from this talented author. I will definitely check out her debut novel. Fantastic!
