I am notorious for hating audiobooks. The narrator never reads at a quick enough pace, the inflections are always off, etc. However, after I discovered that one of my favorite comedians had a book, and was the narrator of said book nonetheless, I decided I HAD to give the audiobook version a try. I was not disappointed. Joe Lycett is hilarious, and his oddly posh speaking voice amplified the content of his book and made it even funnier. I actually looked forward to listening to a book for a chance.

5 stars.

Love Joe Lycett. This collection was a super easy and distracting read for a couple of hours, made me laugh out loud more than once. Recommended if you’re looking for a bit of light relief.

A selection of funny letters, emails, tweets and other correspondence in which Joe offers readers his own unique approach to tackling the frustrations, injustices and ridiculousness of modern day life.

Absolutely hilarious - obviously, as it is Joe Lycett!

I feel that this book simply has to be consumed as an audiobook. It simply would not have the same impact if I was reading it. You must have Joe reading it!

No regret in having made the choice of reading this book via audiobook read by Joe Lycett himself. Felt like a four hour comedy show running in the background while doing mundane stuff :)

Funny and snarky.

I listen to this using audiobook. It is basically his very funny parking ticket joke with a few other nagging emails added in. Joe Lycett reads the book so adds the personal touch. He doesn't just annoy local councils, friends neighbours, estate agents and Donald Trump is on his hit list. He also has realised that it wouldn't be as much fun emailing as himself all the time so has a few alter egos.
An easy pick up put down again read that I have listened to a few times now.
It may even inspire and guide you to write your own complaint email
