This book is probably one of my new favorites! Only because I felt there was so much character development and I love to see it.

The plot had a pretty even pace, but as always with this series, it didn't get intense until the last few chapters. Regardless, I enjoyed the tameness of it all and the steadiness. That doesn't mean there wasn't a surprise here and there though.

I love the commentary between all of, the main characters, Ellie's canine friends. It brought me closer to the book because I feel so bonded with all my animals too.

I felt this book was different from the rest because usually I am frustrated with Ellie and her demeanor, but I found myself getting more frustrated with Sam.

Of course, Ellie is getting more and more fond of her partner (Sam), but watching the intimacy kindle between them is truly beautiful.

I recommend this book/series to anyone who wants an easy read and a playful adventure.

Rudi and Ellie solve another and get up Sam's nose. Another dog she walks is going to need a new home. The owners of apartments in Rob's building want him out, Kronk wants her to write a letter saying he was nice to the owners...both these were left hanging.
