This is really interesting! I had no idea about Detective Pinkerton and this plot on Lincoln. Cool to learn how the Secret Service was formed. Definitely for older readers, with small text and vocabulary.

Great insight into a very often overlooked part of American history for late-elementary readers. The art is amazing and well-detailed, it really moves the story along. I appreciated the timeline, author's notes, and other details included in the back of the book.

So interesting! I really enjoy books that tell stories that make me think, "Why didn't I already know this?. The backmatter is interesting, the illustrations unique.
