'Detective Comics #938 is part five of "Rise of the Batmen." I'm coming in late, but I like what I see.

It starts with a flashback of Colonel Jacob Kane, then cuts to the action. Batman has been training the next generation of vigilantes along with Batwoman and they find themselves taking on the Colony on their own turf. The team includes Red Robin, Spoiler, Orphan and Clayface. Last time they met the Colony, they lost, so can this team become cohesive and effective in this chaotic environment?

I like the characters and the action. James Tynion IV has a good storyline going with some wonderful art. I loved the art, especially the cover. This book was fun to read.

I received a review copy of this comic book from DC Entertainment and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this comic book.

Man this is good stuff ! I mean Detective comics has been like some kinda drug for Batman fans ,especially considering how badly the Batman comics are since Tom King took over , and this is specially an amazing news since Detective Comics despite being a Batman comics at it's core has actually been less focussed on Batman and more on the Team that Batman has formed in Detective Comics

Continuing with it's consistent run of awesome story telling combined with beautiful art by Martinez , The story continued from the last edition and had a few good action filled moments as the story continued it's steady pace leaving no dull moments as Batman and his well-judged newly formed recruits make an escape and also getaway with plans to stop the evil plans of the Armied-Batmen (that's Batman with an E)

It's also kinda a drawback that we have seen so less of Batman , spoiler and clayface in this arc so far coz those were the three key characters that had everyone excited but as i said it's been a consistent story telling and art work from Tynion and Martinez and they have done very little wrong to garner any kind of criticism .

With part 5 out of the way i can't wait for the next few issues and the finale that will truly define this arc

Really great. Tynion continues to be able to juggle the large cast exceedingly well--I thought everyone got a moment to shine in this issue, and the plot progression was good as well.

Cannot believe how good this book is. Love what it's doing for Kate and like the way all the players interact. Despise the mouthy little hacker kid. But otherwise this book is perfect.

The Batman gang made up of Batwoman, Red Robin, Orphan, Spoiler, and Clayface break into The Colony's headquarters to rescue Batman. This issue had a lot of action and some great past scenes between Batwoman and her father. I love the conversation that Red Robin and the nerdy tech guy of The Colony has before and while fighting. Orphan is definitely my favorite character, she is probably the best fighter out of the whole gang, including Batman, and just stays mostly silent the whole time. Enjoyable comic run so far. This was part 5 of the Rise of the Batman story arc. I believe there is one more issue before this arc ends.
