The Mystery of Survival one of my favorite poems here... Enjoyed The Moon is Always Female quite a bit more than this collection.

While this volume ranges in topic from socio-political (I liked "Choose a color," "Choices," and "Deadlocked wedlock") to personal ("Mated" and "Falling Uphill" were my favorites) and finally ends with religious ("The late year" was nice), I felt that (the language? in these) poems lacked the heat and sparks that I encountered and loved in her "Circles on the Water" anthology from many years ago. Maybe age has tamed her or maybe I just didn't find what I was looking for in these poems. That can happen.
