This was an adorable book! Politics aside, what a great idea to publish letters that children had written to the animals in the White House. I enjoyed reading their letters and having them answered in each written segment following them. This was a fun read full of adorable photos and stories. I recommend this book to animal lovers, people who enjoy reading letters, and people who want to learn more about animals in the White House.

LOVED this book when I was a kid. I think maybe my grandma gave it to me as a present and I totally devoured it. I was SO INTO socks, because I too had a black and white cat. At the time I was less sold on Buddy, but I'm way more of a dog person now! My mom recently rediscovered this book, and gave it to a couple of young readers who are enjoying it just as much as I did! Yes!
