Great book to give to all the little girls in your family. Embraces what beauty is to each child and not to the worlds beauty standards.

Perfect, or should I say beautiful, for little girls everywhere. If you have a daughter, niece, granddaughter, this is a great book to gift them. Has a great message.

The text describes things typically thought of as "beautiful" and resets the meaning with fun, whimsical pictures of girls of all races and abilities doing a variety of fun and smart activities. Love it!

Beautiful by Stacy McAnulty is a picture book that reimagines what our society thinks beauty is. In this book, beauty is not an outward appearance but an inner projection of your spirit and joy. It is about what you contribute to the world, not just your mere physical presence. If you know any friends or family members with little girls, this would be a great book to add to their shelves.

This great picture book took feminine stereotypes and turned them on their head. It showed girls being goofy, athletic, scientific, muddy, and complimenting each other. I loved how the book showed the diversity of what a it means to be a girl. The thing that would've pushed me to totally love it is if it included what it clearly meant to exclude. This book is the anti-Fancy Nancy. And I get it. There is no shortage of saturation of ballet-dancing, pink-wearing, horse-riding girls in picture books. However, if you're going to make an all-inclusive type book, I don't think the traditional girly-girl should be eliminated.

ENFIN! Un livre qui montre les petites filles comme elles sont réellement et qui ne leur dit pas comment agir! J'aurais aimé qu'il y ait un peu plus de texte mais sinon, c'était juste parfait!
