Parts of this book I loved. I see why parts of it was used for lecture. I thought I was going to read a memoir of sorts, and it was, but parts were intimidating as a non-lit major and seemed like an essay more than an insight into her life. I enjoyed to much of it but a lot of parts were lost on me because I didn’t recognize the names used or stories referenced, so it took a bit longer to understand where she was going.

I know we’re still here, who knows for how long, ablaze with our care, its ongoing song.
