Just as amusing as his retelling of Genesis. Again, I chuckled pretty much every chapter over something, and often had to read bits to whichever family member was nearby. It's a quick read (even faster than reading the actual book of the Bible since it leaves out all the boring parts, like the instructions for building the Temple). Edwards is definitely writing this retelling with love for the original book of Exodus. His jokes are never malicious, although they often poke fun at the ridiculous aspects of the story, of which there are many. I'll probably have my kids read these books so they're aware of the stories that underpin much of American society. The humor will encourage them to actually finish the stories, since they don't have the religious guilt to do it otherwise.
