I'd give the plot 3 stars, and the writing 2 stars. The story itself is pretty good, and it moves along without getting bogged down. However the characters are a bit one-dimensional and it was hard to care what happened to them for this reason.

Not a bad start. The book is fairly well edited for the genre. The story is a good one. I will read book 2.

generic, derivative, poorly written and full of implausible, convenient plot loops

not worth it at all
