Ren, Arman, and Sakura...

...made such a beautiful family. I adored this book just as much as book one, and I so didn't want it to end. Looking forward to reading O'Brian's story!

This is a very pretty, Disney fairytale, but even those have to overcome more adversity than this. Nearly everything went their way and worked out perfectly. This makes for a very happy stress free read with no angst whatsoever. It was just missing something for me to rate it higher.

It was great being back with my favourite pair of husbands. They have to go back to Shiirei to build a new fortresses. It's hard for Ren being back home, but at least his brother is there for him. I love the relationship between Ren and Arman; it's a relationship to be jealous of.

Arman is still not using his words, but they make an impact when he does use them. I adored his relationship with Saku, and they were definitely an amazing combo of both Ren and Arman.

I really wanted to punch multiple people for how they treated Ren and Arman. I loved the Empress, especially the gift she gave them. She is really behind Ren 100%! I'm glad we got to meet old faces and some new ones. I was so happy that 0'Broin is getting his own story. He is one of my favorites.

It was so worth the wait for this book; I loved every page of it. Arman and Ren have really helped other countries to change their view of same sex marriage. They are trailblazers! They are amazing, dads, and it was amazing seeing a new side of Arman. He was so sweet to her; like all the sweets to win her over.

There were not that many sex scenes, but they were hot when they appeared. Overall, it is an amazing book. I loved the characters and the amazing rich storyline. I'm so sad this is their last book, but hopefully, I will get some time with them in the next book.

I loved this book just as much as the first one even though it had a different tone and different pace! It was so good! I'm kind of in love with Saku and want to see them get their own book. Along with like four other characters in these books. I'm sad this will be the last book of Ren and Arman's. BUT the next book in the series will be O'Broín's book and I need it in my life! I want it so bad!

This was less fun than the first book with many of the same world-building issues. Sakura was a bit too much like Remi from the Unholy Trifecta series.

Adorable!!!
If you want a story of two generals falling in love, being in love and adorable together this is it!
Amazing side characters! Funny, well crafted dialogues, humour and light plot with enough mystery to keep the plot going.
It's a heartwarming read, nothing too angsty filled with joyful moments
I love when my gays not suffer for 90% of the book only to get an epilogue with love. This duology wormed my heart especially every time when main character was worried about this or that, partner's family's acceptance etc but situations were solved lovely. It's good to show that people can learn understanding based on occasion too. I love the representation of that without any major drama, or cookie points. I don't know if I'm explaining well what I mean but anyway, loved this. My heart was full of love and I was smiling the whole time .

3.5 stars. This was so sweet. It’s rare that sequels featuring the same couple live up to the first one in my experience, but I actually liked this one better. I rooted for Saku/Sakura early on and I even cried happy tears twice because of her. And I don’t even consider myself someone who likes plots where the MCs get kids. That’s how precious it was. I’ll admit I had gotten my hopes up for a trans character tho.

I’m glad things turned out so well for them and for the progress made in Ren’s home country. I’m also glad there was no violence that had the good guys hurt. Lloyd Thomas did a good job with the narration too, even though the Japanese narration was so-so. Sounded like the typical American accent, I guess.
