When a strange howling is heard and a rabbit is torn to shreds, everyone thinks that Grady's new dog is responsible, and Grady is determined to prove them wrong.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this one. I actually quite enjoyed it, and I wasn't expecting that sort of ending. Well, I expected part of it, but not the unveiling. I don't know if I just wasn't paying attention to clues, but the unveiling actually shocked me. Stine's writing in this one was better than most, too. Which was nice.

I immediately disliked Emily after she opened her mouth about the dog that's in this book, but beyond that, I don't have much else to complain about. And me disliking Emily is a personal opinion that doesn't really reflect the rating.

This was my first Goosebumps as they came out long after my time. I would have devoured these as a kid. Fun read.

Good book for 3rd graders who enjoy scary stories.

I didn't like the setting but the end was exciting and the whole way of convincing to an endless loop was crazy too. At first I actually gave the book a 2 star rating when I read it first, but I got the meaning of the story after re-reading, so I'm glad I did. Best description for this story: Hopeless ending with a hopeful character who accepts his fate in the end. Kinda like a happy ever after ending and as a total Disney fan I love such endings.

Obviously the hermit couldn't be the werewolf, that was too obvious, but I thought it was Cassie... Fail!
