5.0

Part steampunk, part horror, and many parts dark fantasy, this novel is replete with Victorian themes and horror tropes but modernised in its pacing.

WTR writes excellent chase and fight scenes, enhancing that pacing. There's not a slack moment in this taut book. And it's nasty--oh, so nasty.

Bloody, inventive, articulate and dark as hell's deepest corners.
