I really enjoyed this book. The writing is terrific. The movies it celebrates are amazing. I'm always happy for another entry in books writing celebrating the kinds of movies that might otherwise go unsung.

The only problem I have, and problem is probably strong, is that it sets up "bizarro" as a category beyond "cult" or "psychotronic", but I'm not sure its selection justify that. It's only a nitpick, because it's still a wonderful list of oddball movies and well-considered and written reviews of some of them. But it's a real nitpick, because I was honestly hoping for something that would focus in on just the weirdest of the weird, and on that it's not all I hoped it would be.
