I really liked the outsiders so I decided I wanted to read more books by S.E. Hinton. I was not disappointed.

Not as good as the Outsiders, but definitely worth the read. I really enjoyed the character of Tex and his brother Mason. I would have liked to see the book fleshed out a bit more and a more complete ending but overall I enjoyed it.

I loved The Outsiders in high school, but I don't know how I never read any of Hinton's others. This one is a gem too.

This was a simple and quick read that kept a good pace and knew it's characters well enough to be enjoyable. S.E Hinton has such a way with understanding adolescent boys and their angst... Now I can watch the movie with my boy Matt Dillon!!

I felt like I was reading a diary of a 15 year old country boy and loved every second of it

I'm not going to lie, I really wasn't into this story until the last two chapters, where it really picked up. Lots of drama and twists and unexpected action. I wish she had started the climax earlier in the book.
