This book is so pretty, with a lot of colorful landscapes and even texts. I really like this arc and even though there can’t be inclusion of all the scenes I enjoyed, this end result is exciting and lovely. It also manages to be so funny to me. There are so many little details and background jokes I’m sure there’s much more I missed. I love the characters so much and they definitely have time to shine in this story.

This is my favourite arc in the podcast, and while the novel cuts out a bit of extra story things such as

the brothers Luca and Redmond

it was fairly inconsequential and the important parts absolutely nailed it.

Reading the visualisation of the Chalice's offers to the boys as it goes through their memories was rough as hell, especially since on the podcast they goof a lot around serious topics like that. The novel was able to siphon that off a little and really pack the emotional punch that I was hoping for.

Excellent, love it, can't wait for The Suffering Game later this year!
