Fun pulpy sci-fi in the vein of a lot of 60's and 70's era space opera. There are a few different arcs getting thrown around, but essentially Nexus is a galactic superhero granted extraordinary powers to assassinate random mass murderers around the galaxy. Nexus the person isn't really in control of who or why he kills, instead he has terrible nightmares (that also somehow effect his physical well being) about his future victims, and their atrocities. Then he seeks them out and kills them. (Often decades after their crimes.) Its quite strange, not the least of which are the psychic disembodied heads that many of the governments (and evil dictators) use as power sources. I'm currently reading the second omnibus from the library, but not seeing it on Goodreads.

It's amazing how good Steve Rude got in a very short period of time. The first few issues are rather rough, but his art quickly improves to the high level The Dude is known for. Beautiful, clear lines.
The story is as engaging as I remember from reading these issues in back in the 80s. Science fiction with some super-hero trappings. I am thrilled that this series is getting a comprehensive, affordable series of collections and cannot wait for the next volume.

I did not read these when they were originally published.
I do not think I will be reading any more. Lead character is not a nice guy, not likeable. Stories are meandering clap trap.
