I don't know why I thought this book would be any different because I tend to not like books that are a "guide to" the book that I originally liked. Although if you are that type of person you may enjoy this one more than i did. it just felt like too much repeat of stuff that had already been explained in the book

super quick one while i was repotting plants. enjoyable but, like a lot of companion books, relatively forgettable (though through no fault of its own, just the nature of ~guides~). 3.5/5

This was a good little companion book, telling a little bit more about the gods and creatures of the Nine Worlds, and giving definitions and pronunciations in the end. And lots of fun stuff in it. Of course if you haven’t read Magnus Chase this book will not make much sense. And if you haven’t read Magnus Chase then go read it... like, now.
