This is my third summer of listening to Thomas Hardy. I'll be really sad when I've finished all his works.

Loved this book and all the characters. I LOVE THOMAS HARDY!

This is absolutely amazing and heart wrenching story! I read Hardy before and was feeling that he is going to be a favourite author and after reading Tess, that prediction was solidified! Hardy writes such a powerful stories with gut punching moments, humour, societal criticism, interesting complex characters, and beautiful descriptive settings. This story really played with my heart, it is the perfect mix of hope and dread. Everyone needs to read this book! I can’t wait to read all of Hardy’s books!

This book was great. It made me think and it proved a point in its time that not everyone understood. It moved me deeply and the only reason I only gave it four stars is because it's just soooo sad! It was truly one of the few books that made an impact on me.
