First, major snooze fest.

Second, I've never read a book with such weird pacing. It caught my interest immediately because how many romance novels begin with the protagonist freshly kidnapped and wrapped in a rug? Unfortunately, it lost its points immediately when Scarlett, party girl and resident heroine, falls hard and fast for Gabriel Legend (hero/love interest/second POV) the second she looks at him. Now, don't forget that she's been kidnapped by this man and was literally unconscious on his floor a second ago WRAPPED. IN. A. RUG. I gave [a:Meghan March|8184875|Meghan March|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1515956220p2/8184875.jpg] the benefit of the doubt though because she's so well loved. Well, don't worry, the rest of the book was just as much of a flop.

So, possible spoiler but also not really, the main characters talk only a handful of times and don't really even meet in earnest until like 60% through, they get romantically involved in the next scene they have together at 80%ish. So okay, slow burn right? Except there was double instalove on page four so what's going on here.

I will be leaving books two and three on the shelf, unfortunately, something that I rarely do. This one was just that bad.

I can't even express how much I needed a Meghan March book in my life. Strong sexy alphas, and sassy independent heroines. I am all about it!!

The Fall of Legend was a good start to the trilogy. I love the chemistry between Legend and Scarlett. A little instalovey, yes, but still very red hot. I already know Legend is going to be an ultimate favorite hero.

I have to say, even though I really enjoyed this book, I was not as easily drawn in and connected to this story as I usually am with other Meghan March books. That doesn't mean I'm not dying to find out what happens next. Because with the way this one ended, I definitely am. I just wish there was a little more development with Legend and Scarlett and their relationship.

As with any Meghan March book, I basically couldn't put it down. No one writes chemistry and pent up tension quite like her. Can't wait for the next one!

The Fall of Legend is book one in the new Legend Trilogy from Meghan March. I absolutely couldn’t wait to read Legends story after seeing the hot cover and let me tell you, Meghan did not disappoint! Legend is one hundred percent alpha. He doesn’t have the best upbringing and but is trying to build a better life for himself. Scarlett is a super strong willed female lead. They meet by accident and their story really takes off. I cannot wait for House of Scarlett!!
