I loved this book. It was interesting to read about his relationships with the people in his life and also his views on the world and different circumstances. It was also very funny and honest

I really enjoyed it but I hope there's a sequel. Would love to hear more about two of my favorite shows, Fawlty Towers and Flying Circus and his later film career.

Overall it was a very good read. A nice sit down with a legend of comedic broadcasting. However it did drag at certain points, as I found aspects of Cleese’s life to be a little uninteresting, in particular his early life. The portrayal of his working relationship with Graham Chapman is a strong highlight of the book. I would have loved a chapter devoted to ‘Fawlty Towers.’ The focus stays more firmly on projects such as ‘The 1948 Show’ and ‘Monty Python’, and that is good enough. The book is over 400 pages, so there probably wasn’t room for everything.

I gave up after a few chapters. It's a fairly boring book IMO.

A ridiculously funny memoir. Just what you would expect from John Cleese. I especially recommend the audiobook. Don’t make the same mistake I did and listen to it when out and about though, unless you don’t care about people looking at you funny when they see you laughing on your own.

It has it's moments, but the balance of this autobiography seems way off. I am assuming Cleese plans to, or perhaps already has, do a follow up book to talk about the Python year because Python gets short shrift here. We go from the formation of the group to a reunion tour decades later in a few pages. That will surely disappoint a majority of the people reading this book. Still, a lot of good insight into Cleese's early years leading up to Python.

Wasn’t as funny as Eric Idle’s Sort of Biography.
