Phenomenal. Without focusing on the claim of being the best book of all time, Anna Karenina delivers a timeless reflection on being human. What amazes me most about Tolstoy's writing is the ability to deliver single poignant lines that still hit home centuries later.

Obviously this is probably a 5 ⭐️ book, I just enjoyed it about 4 ⭐️ Overall, I felt enveloped in their world and invested in the characters lives. I did feel that about 30% of the book could be cut without impacting any of the plot or feel of the story—but it’s Tolstoy, so of course the writing is somewhat gratuitous?

Fabulous novel

I am in awe over the human emotion I experienced just from reading this book. I’ve never before experienced such raw hatred, love, anger, sadness, desire, etc. This novel will force you to feel it all without pity or remorse. I will write a more detailed post once I finish contemplating the novel.
