Meh. Interesting premise. Super predictable. Nobody talks like the characters talked.

Short sweet read with a very recognizable and realistic dynamic between two characters with genuine issues and connection.

Some people say all you need is proximity and attraction. Carpool proves it can happen. Two people who seemingly dislike each other in forced proximity learn to tolerate, like, and then enjoy each other.
Seems there might be something to that theory!

MF - contemporary romance - white MCs - high steam - pov: first single - childhood crush - forced proximity - opposites attract (bad boy/good girl) - small town - workplace - 5 stars. Nice story about two people having to carpool together and then starting a with-benefits arrangement. Really low angst.

Though I probably should have given the book a fairer chance, I could already tell by 6% that I wasn't going to vibe with the main character. I found her first-person narration annoying and a bit too juvenile for a 28 year-old. I also didn't love that her friend Beck was described as "pretty in a round-faced, very curvy way." Maybe I'm being too sensitive, but that specific phrasing felt rather condescending.

Could use more character development. The relationship was cute but I felt like I didn’t know them.
