I saw everything coming but that didn't stop me from enjoying this book 😅 also felt like a nice different way to portray vampires-I'm generally over them at this point so the fact that this didn't instantly bore me was good!

FUCK ME this is such a good book. i’m having to physically hold myself back from starting the second one right this second. POPPY AND CASTEEL😩😩i am soooo obsessed, i can feel this series making a permanent imprint on me already. the fact that I share a name with the GODDESS that is Poppy Balfour is just😩😩oh my good gods when cass kept calling her poppy i died a little inside every time, and DURING THE SMUT SCENES UGH OMGGGG. i fear he will become my top book bf very very quickly. i’m so obsessed i want him to be real PLSSSSS

u just need to get over 500 pages and it eventually gets really good but do i have high expectations for the second book? no. will i read it anyways? yes.
