I really wanted to love this book, but it took so long for it to go anywhere that I lost interest. I usually love this type of story but found this one to be weak. I'm disappointed.

First off, this book left me with a good feeling. Not necessarily the happy-ending feeling, more a satisfaction of having finished a *good* story.

The short and aptly titled chapters, the cast of familiar and developed characters, the weaving of everyday experiences with a bit of mystery in the background, all made for an engaging and enjoyable read for both young (ages 10? up) and adult readers. I liked reading from Miranda's perspective particularly because you relived the story and figured out the mystery with her--it's not just a retelling, but an actual in-her-head journey through personal experience.

The idea itself, and how the author seamlessly introduces, unwinds, and finishes that idea into the story, leaves you with a definite "ohhh wow" feeling at the end.

Excellent narrative and wonderful sci fi twist. I forgot I was reading a kids book for a while.

Kind of timeless. If you had told me this was written in the late 70's, 80's or 90's, I'd believe you. Instead, it's from 2009.
