Just finished this one and thought it was really good too! Only problem with these books is the main character seems kind of stupid sometimes in the sense that she doesn't see things coming until they smack her in the face. Either I am a really good guesser or some of the things that are meant to be big shocker moments are a little predictable or over foreshadowed? But otherwise still loved the plotting even more in this book!

Also that GEMMA thing was brilliant!!

Let me just start off by saying that I have never in the history of, well, ever, read a YA contemporary series. All the series I have read have been fantasy or dytopian. Never just contemporary romance. Now that that’s out of the way, my thoughts on the book.

This has to be one of my favorite series I have picked up this year. The story is so god, and Gemma is such a likable character, although seeing what Hallie had been planning and plans throughout the book got annoying, because she’s sixteen! Get over it! There were quite a few moments in the book where I had to laugh out loud, which is pretty rare for me with books. Finally getting to meet Ford was wonderful and *spoilers* seeing Gemma and Hallie’s revenge going back and forth was pretty entertaining. This book was impossible to put down, I managed to read it all in one day and absolutely loved it. The only complaint is that book 3 comes out next year. I don’t have enough patience for that. I just really love this series and always enjoy reading it. Also, the cover is beautiful for each book. The book ends in a cliffhanger, much like book 1, but this one is far more shocking, in my opinion. I am very eagerly awaiting 2016 for the next book to see how everything will play out.

I liked this one but not quite as much as the first, but boy was there drama! Gemma kind of goes back and forth on wether she want to have a revenge war against Hallie whereas Hallie’s pretty much all in. And of course the friends get dragged into this mess as well as family. But the ending...just drop another bomb!

The saga continues. This one was great! Every time I has to put the book down I was thinking about it, and every time I was reading it I was devouring it. I needed to know what happened, I needed more of these characters, I just needed to be reading.

Yes it’s a little out of date, they use iPods and for some reason emails as a for, of communication (as well as texts). However, the drama, cuteness, plot, and characters are so timeless. I would pick this book up 10 years from now and read it again.

proof that i'm growing soft in my older age, because this book about life-ruining revenge stressed me out more than anything else. i would have loved this like 8 years ago, but now it's too much for me. (team ford though, for what it's worth.)

Ok, no.
(Side note: I also skimmed through multiple parts of boredom...)

Multiple, multiple times I felt like screaming at Gemma, and her stupid flip flop back and forth. Her actions were wrong in the first placed, but it's like she could not stick to any one course at ALL.
Spoiler "Oh this guy is cute, but this guy and his dreamy eyes, but then this guy...." Then, "Maybe we should just walk away from all this, or maybe not. or Maybe yes. But I have all the money in the world to travel back and forth from Connecticut to the Hamptons so... I'll just come back for one final revenge plot that I'm going to (AT THE LAST MINUTE) decide I shouldn't do at all..."

This book was SO annoying, but I wanna read what happens next...
At least I won't be waiting around for it but, *she grudgingly sighs* the book has the effect to make you pick up the next one.

Side not: I don't believe either deserves the treatment they're giving to each other. There was a moment when this could have all stopped and they could have understood each other (they both seem nice despite the whole evil plots) and got over everything that had happened. Of course,
Spoiler It was the Dad's fault for dating Karen behind his daughter's back, which just shows you how dysfunctional all these people are in the first place. But of course, Gemma was a total brat to ruin Karen's good name and break them up, so they're pretty much all a mess...

I just really want to see how the author redeems everyone. I don't agree with the revenge theory at all, and it seems like everyone in the book was totally down to hurting other people for their own sick satisfaction. I really hope it isn't some cheesy, half baked ending like, "revenge isn't totally ok, but we're all good now so..."
