Failed ending

The story started off so good, telling the story of a sniper on a mission. The ending gives no finality to the story and we are left to wonder what happens.

Since all of the Overtwatch comics are about 10 pages long I'll only be doing mini reviews for them.

Okay I adored this. I'm perpetually sad over the fact that they cancelled First Strike, so this was something I was really happy with. This shows a younger Ana and Jack, and it also has a much more war-like element to it than the others. I loved seeing more of Ana because she's such a great character.

Definitely pick this up if you're interested in/play Overwatch, it's well worth the read.

Nice story about Ana, with a bit of a twist at the end!

Ana, the central character here, is the mother of the central character in #5. This is an excellent sniper story, though I will admit as a non-player of the video game this series is based on, I ended up looking up the characters after reading this. This volume also ties into the following #8.

I love how this series presents female characters. Truly wonderful.

This comic is yet another comic snagged at a Free Comic Book Day. In this edition we have an Overwatch tale and a Black Hammer tale.

Zarya: Searching
Zarya: Searching was the Overwatch tale. I have to admit, I don’t know much about this world outside of the bits and pieces my husband has told me about the game.

The quick story was interesting. It was fun while reading, but I’m not sure I’d pick up a full volume.

I did really enjoy the artwork and the colors though! And the characters that we met were neat.

The Quantum Age
The Quantum Age was the Black Hammer tale.

This was another quick preview that just seemed like a bunch of name dropping all at once, but because it was all so quick, I forgot the characters immediately.

I do think that this one did a decent job introducing a new storyline, but it just wasn’t for me.
