wow that was excellent!! recommended to me and i recognized it from a while ago so i read on impulse and i absolutely adored it!!! it gave me a heart-pound and goosebumps and the art is just so so lovely. i love the way it's written. adored this!!!!!

I'm reading through all of Carroll's works and I can't believe I never knew this was from Carroll! I remember reading this many years ago and thinking it was incredible, it still holds up. Dark and creepy, the ending is superb. Absolutely love this one!

Genuinely one of the best short horror stories I've ever read. Just enough explanation to feel narratively satisfying, but just enough mystery to keep you wondering.
