edit two days later: i was right, i fell for the guy she doesn't pick.

I think this is fine for a summer read. I also think that I'm a bit not the intended audience for this, too old for it? Cheering on for someone else rather than the guy she ends up with made me disappointed in the end and left me wondering did I read all the parts with them wrong because I honestly expected them to end up together. The most tender story in this is actually the one about her Abuelita and Pedrito because it made me tear up in a nanosecond.

14.6.2023. - me to myself: i bet my ass is going to fall for the guy she doesn't pick.

i really didn’t like the plot twist at the end, it kinda threw off the pace of the book and made me almost regret picking this book up. It’s a well written book, that one part just got on my nerves.
the book was cute.

A cute YA romance that’s also a lot about figuring out your path and choosing who you want to be. This book is also definitely about friendship and seeing the good we have right in front of us. I loved the setting of the small-town Argentinian restaurant and family. The author kept me guessing almost to the end in regards to the various “Romeos” in Julieta’s life. Also, as a writer this book spoke to me thru Jules’ writing workshop.

“I was not the most talented one. I was the one who never gave up.”
