I’m not quite sure how to feel about this one…
It was slow moving, slow building, suspenseful.. but there wasn’t much action until the last 40 pages or so!
I liked the setting (a tropical island with a creepy history) and I liked that each of the characters had some sort of secret past. But, I think I was just hoping that the “thriller” aspect would pick up faster!
(I also don’t think it needed to have so much swearing- the amount of F-words was unnecessary and distracting)

I actually loved this book and I'm surprised it isn't rated higher!
I loved the setting, who doesn't love deserted islands, and I actually loved most of the characters.
I was hooked from the very beginning, it unfortunately dragged a little in the middle, but that ending was great! I definitely think the author should have left that last chapter out though. It was pointless in my opinion.
Definitely recommend!

Quick, entertaining and easy read. Just what I was looking for for a vacation! I really liked the flashes to different characters’ pasts, making the present narrative more intriguing. I’ve read this one and her newest, The Villa, and I enjoyed The Villa more.
