This book brings about the conclusion to one of my favorite book series from one of my favorite authors. This journey has been a tremendous amount of fun and the culminating book that is The Last Coven was a fantastic conclusion.

For those who have read the series, you know just what to expect from this entry. Bringing me back to my high school days of playing DnD with friends, this book tied up all of the loose ends from the first seven (10 if you include the three .5 entries) books. Bill comes to terms with Dr. Death, Sheila and Bill work towards their specific roles in the prophecy, Sally is Sally, and Gan continues to obsess over Bill.

The battle scenes described throughout the book reminded me of scenes I encountered in Diablo 2/3. I could easily picture mages and other creatures fighting during a “dungeon crawl” as being acted out within each game.

We got to witness some references to ancient gods in this book which made me nostalgic for authors like Lovecraft. We also became, if not already so, intimately familiar with the descriptive scent of Grolg, The Big C, and Turd.

The only question I have? Why didn’t Bill start off a chain reaction with the Johabich by repeatedly yelling “mother”? What better way to distract them?

Rick really has outdone himself with this entry and re-affirmed why he is and will remain one of my top 5 favorite authors. Well done, good sir. Well done indeed. For Team TW!

Well, that was fun! I feel a little lost. What am I going to do now that I have read the 11 volumes of the Tome of Bill? It was profane and funny. I think the last book of the series did a good job of wrapping everything up. With the exception of the last chapter.

Enjoyed the series overall. Rating on goodreads can be hard and I think there is a lot of 'grade inflation' - that said I put the series as a 3.5 overall, meaning I enjoyed it. It felt like an action/comedy show or movie. Not something you walk away from feeling smarter, but feeling entertained.

When you reach the end of a series there's always a serious worry about how it will end and how much you will hate it. Thankfully, that didn't happen here! I really liked the way everything was wrapped up and the little bit that is still left hanging there. Well done Mr. Gualtieri, that's not an easy feat!

I really liked the whole series. I'm still digesting how they ended the series. Definitely a different tact than I've seen other supernatural books take. The humor throughout was great and kept the same tone and changed it when it needed. Fun throughout.

Irreverent and funny to the very end. I was hesitant to start the last of the series because I didn't want it to end, but I'm glad i did. The book was humorous and heartfelt and I believe Rick did a nice job of wrapping up the series.

My boyfriend Bill did not disappoint in this conclusion to what has become a favorite series of mine. It was all the things that I've come to expect form Bill and his gang of weirdos. Snarky, geeky and funny. As the last book it is very hard to review without spoiling the series as a whole, but I loved every book.
