Follow the story of Kenny Fade (Fah-day) and Sophie Blue in this fast paced story. The chapter titles count up from 0 until you reach the comic book and then count down to 0. The three stories are all interrelated. You follow Sophie Blue as she tries to piece together what happened to her dad and why that Insane Ice Cream truck keeps trying to run her down!

The book is filled with smart, sarcastic comments, pop-culture references, and virtual reality. I couldn't put it down, except to look up Sean Beaudoin to see what else he'd written!! Book doesn't come out until August, but get it, you won't regret it!

Okay, I don't know why but when I bought this book I thought it was an angsty contemporary about a social misfit and a popular kid.
I'm so glad it definitely absolutely was not that.

It was really cool, I've never read anything like this before. I felt left behind towards the middle, like all the characters were figuring out what was happening but it wasn't being explained to me and I was worried that I wasn't going to like where it was gonna go but then the ending was so good and political and I'm satisfied.

This book jerks you around and you never truly know what is going to happen. Much of it was confusing for me, but I think that it was perfect that way, since the main characters were confused to the point that they believed they were insane. I feel like there is some kind of easy to grasp explanation to what I read, but it escapes me the harder I try to reach it.

I was very fond of Sophie Blue and was rooting for her from very early on. I was so frustrated by the
SpoilerMatrix-like cliffhanger at the end.
Hopefully I will better understand this story someday. If not, I think I am okay with that too.

Sophie Blue is a loner, goth girl who has to go to therapy sessions and talk about her father who disappeared on her birthday. Kenny Fade is a star basketball player and the most popular guy in school. These two high schoolers have absolutely nothing in common... except the fact that they're both pretty sure they're going insane. Weird things keep happening... or is it just all in their heads?

This book is a major trip with nonstop crazy action and plot twists all over the place. It's weird and confusing, but for me it was confusing in the good way that made me want to keep reading to figure it all out. I'm not sure whether the ending really cleared everything up, but I finished it pretty quickly, so maybe I didn't pay enough attention. It's very Matrix and I'd hand it to fans of that trilogy. I definitely think there's an audience of teens who are going to really dig the dark comedy and crazy plot twists.

My initial thoughts after finishing Fade to Blue by Sean Beaudoin were WTF did I just read. Either this book is bloody brilliant or the most illogical, strangest book I've ever read. It sort of reminds me of Donnie Darko, I know I should get it, but I don't fully understand the work.

Weird. It totally reminds me of a show I‰ЫЄm watching right now. I won‰ЫЄt mention it because it‰ЫЄs spoilery for both. But like,
Spoileris this the reality where Kenny is O.S.? Or the reality where O.S. is O.S.?

‰ЫПParanoia will get your through times of no enemies better than enemies will get you through times of no paranoia.‰Ыќ This is better than that other quote about being paranoid that everyone attributes to Kurt Cobain. Or maybe that one is just too ubiquitous.

Some great lines in this book. ‰ЫПEverything seems worse than it really is.‰Ыќ But does it?

‰ЫПIf there are no rules, why am I playing by the rules?‰Ыќ Good point.

Fun, quick read.

In book 3, Blue and Brady are stronger than ever and still just as good together. When one needs the strength of the other, he gets it. While we get another peak into their lives, this book seemed to revolve around the side characters more than just these two; the drama stems from these side characters, not Brady and Blue. It is a good story albeit a little slow for me. Brady gets quite a blow in this book and it takes most of the book to be resolved. Blue is his rock during most of this situation and shows how much he’s grown over the years and how much in love he is with Brady.

I definitely would recommend reading this series in order as the history helps with the perspective of the characters. I would read the next book in this series if it was more about Blue and Brady although I’m not sure what else can happen with them.
