This was my least favorite in the series. The main mystery was mostly good, and the other mystery was never solved. The main characters were annoying, rather childlike in their relationship. That being said, I am invested in them and hope there might be another book. I feel there were too many strings left hanging for it to be the end of the series.

I was so annoyed with this book. I enjoyed the others in this series, but the characters are really starting to grate on my nerves. Mellie needs therapy for her OCD and clear childhood trauma, but the same issues fester in every book. And the book ending with so much unresolved with Adrienne and Jack made me want to throw the book across the room. I will likely read the next one since it will be the last.

Oh, this book took place at Christmas but that was the extent of the Christmas theme. Left feeling largely unsatisfied.

Plot progressed well but the climax seems to speed through some of the details to plot was centered on. Left with a cliffhanger for her final novel.

I have loved this series. I liked most of this book but the ending took it fell 4 stars to 2.5 that I’m rounding up because I’ve loved the series. The Melanie Jack stuff is stupid. They are supposed to be 40 years old and behave like they are 14. It’s not only frustrating. It’s unbelievable. And seems mostly geared towards drawing the reader to the next book. I don’t need weird cliff hangers with them to want to read the next book. It was too much for me on this one.

This would have been a pretty good spooky mystery if it wasn't for the MC Melanie. Her nonstop pettiness, snarky thoughts, and insecurities distracted from the story. If you get sick of her while reading the book, you can play a drinking game. Every time Melanie wishes for, thinks about, or eats a doughnut or cookie - take a drink. She does it 37 times. You will be drunk in no time and might end up enjoying the book.

The sixth in a series of books that all take place in Charleston, SC and involve historical homes that have spirits still roaming the halls. Melanie Trenholm is able to "see" these spirits and semi communicate with them and hopefully help them get to their next destination, this book takes place during the holidays as there are Revolutionary War spirits who are still dealing with events from that time and need Melanie to solve some puzzles to help them crossover.

The paranormal romance on Tradd Street continues with Melanie and Jack getting ready to celebrate Christmas with their twins and family. The ghosts who have been quiet for a time have become restless again and their is a particularly malevolent ghost who has appeared. On top of all this, Melanie's cousin and her jerk of a husband show up trying to get access to Melanie and Jack's house to film in, but they are also on the look out for a priceless Revolutionary War treasure. Can Melanie and Jack's marriage survive?

I enjoyed this latest Tradd street mystery and am on pins and needles to find out what happens next in the lives of Melanie and Jack!
