Hell yeah baby, tikkun olam! I'm here for the Jewish heroes. This book is so accessible and successfully communicates a very important lesson to young readers. I will definitely recommend this one!

Thank You Dr Salk is a great picture book introduction to the life and work of Dr. Jonas Salk, the history of polio, and the history of vaccines, as well as an introduction to the idea of tikkun olam. It is accessible, informative, and moving, and has great illustrations. The extra info in the author's note and timeline at the end added to how informative it is. It's more important than ever for kids to be able to access stories like these as we continue to fight against a pandemic in the modern age while many denounce vaccines. Definitely recommended!
