Though this book isn't the smoothest read in the series, it really establishes the downward spiral of the Governor and introduces us to Rick's group of survivors along the way. I was excited to see them finally come to Woodbury, Lily isn't exactly my favorite character. Her story is a bit predictable in my opinion but hey, it's about to get skewered as the Governor and Woodbury fall. The last few chapters are increasingly descriptive on the revenge torture a la Michonne, hopefully you're not faint of heart (you likely aren't if you're reading this series). The book doesn't exactly cliffhanger, instead it felt like a "what will happen? tune in next time to find out!" Mayhem is about to happen, just gotta wait for PART 2 and I'm looking forward to it.

This is one of the worst books I have ever read (finished b/c I was on an airplane)... seriously, awful. The Rise of the Gov was really good, this seems like it was written by a 12 yr old with almost pornographic violence without any charm. So Fxing bad.
