I'm almost embarrassed to review this book because that implies that I bought and read a book with that atrocious title. Well what can I say, I guess I got seduced, ehhh on second thought let's not use that word any more in this review, so, I got swayed by the book blurb.

Well, I will make this short. This is not at all the cool action filled story about war-machines and mutated bio weapons. It is a illogical mess filled with psychopathic characters who either tries to kill each other for no logical reason and cannot be reasoned with, or plays out some techno teenagers wet dream.

There is no real world building, no explanations and no logic to anything. Everything appears to be just thrown together so the author could write yet another action scene or wet dream scene. Hell, even the characters (minds) controlling the robots seems to read the manual as they go. I know it said in the blurb that the main protagonist is supposed to have no memory but come on, it's really taken too far.

Science? Don't make me laugh please. The robots or "war machines" are pretty much ludicrous. It's like a computer game where each type of robot are supposed to have special strengths and weaknesses to "balance" the game. Has nothing to do with any form of remotely realistic military constructs now or in the future.

The only reason this book is not getting one star is because I, well I don't know really. Let's just say that it is, barely, above the absolute trash level that I reserve the one star rating for.

If you like mech battles and Sci-fi military stuff then you will enjoy this book.

Detailed enough to be enjoyable but not to much to go over the heads to people who know nothing of military tactics.
