Okay, I did appreciate the poetics and figurative language. But beyond that... what did I just read?? This was somehow all over the place but boring at the same time. It felt like it was trying to Mean Something but I have no idea what. I just got absolutely nothing from this story except cringes.
One of the whitest, most bland non seasoned books I've read in a really long time.
Apparently it's a me thing, because loads of other people liked the book. I didn't hate it, but it never connected with me.

I felt like this book was written by a lizard person who has only ever had the idea of human relationships explained through a static-y telephone and told to write a book.
It left plot points off in the middle, characters just disappeared, and most of the character personalities were unlikeable rom com caricatures. Such a wild, kind of confusing, smutty read.
