This book was weird. Maybe it's not one I should have listened to... but to say the least I did not like it. This listen was courtesy libro.fm #partner.

There were lines in the story that I really questioned the quality of this book. I've seen a lot of people really enjoy this book, so maybe I'm the oddball here because people are really applauding it. I think the purpose was to make readers uncomfortable, and I'm okay with that... but this type of uncomfortable and the story in general just was lost on me.

I will say the ending, made up for a lot of the book, but really not much. Ghost sex and basically manipulation by a ghost isn't for me.

Plus weird lines about being aroused by the smell of yeast and then saying it was sensual in the same sentence is still cringey to me.

Couldn't get sucked in, didn't care about the character we focus on in the beginning; the first person POV didn't help.

I understand this book in a lot of ways in regard to the themes but I am still confused in a lot of ways I don't think I can explain. I also think the ending was drawn out a bit too much
