I really liked Johnny and Shannon, I loved Johnny’s parents and Gibsie and Claire. I mostly enjoyed the whole book minus a couple of parts that felt like filler. Otherwise, solid characters and good story with good writing.

Some books leave a mark so deep, they linger in your heart long after the last page Keeping 13 wa one of them. Johnny and Shannon's journey was
raw, heartbreaking, and so beautifully healing that felt every emotion with them. The pain, the love, the quiet moments of hope- it was all so powerful. This book wasn't just a story; it was an experience, one that wrapped around me and refused to let go.

Chloe Walsh has done it again with book 2 of the series…
This one really was so emotional in comparison to Binding 13, Shannon has to deal with so many more horrific events surrounding her family and her life, but also with Johnny. This one really is an emotional rollercoaster, with emotions such as grief, love, anger, sadness and even happiness for particular moments throughout the book. Johnny and Shannon’s relationship just continues to go from strength to strength despite Shannon’s mother and father being disapproving of this relationship. Johnny’s mother is also worried that Johnny is going to think with his private parts instead of his head despite both Shannon and him reassuring her that it won’t happen. Eventually, the two begin sneaking around in each others room’s and hope to not get caught, except this doesn’t go well for the two of them and they continue to get caught.
Eventually, Shannon and her brothers then have to deal with such an horrific event that sees them all being fostered by the Kavanagh’s. Meanwhile, Johnny’s career is also going from strength to strength and he is offered a contract to go to Dublin and play professionally. I love seeing the character development of both Shannon and Johnny as the book progresses, as well as even getting to know Shannon’s younger brothers more (Tadgh, Ollie and Sean) and her oldest brother, Darren as he is brought back into the book to try and help his family deal with their recent experiences.
After everything that happened to Shannon in this book, it was lovely to see Shannon get her happy ending. Highly recommended and would absolutely read it again.

♾️🌟

Oh, my favorite horror books. They are absolutely everything to me. I need a minute to gather all my thoughts but what’s clear is that there was me before Boys Of Tommen and there will be me after Boys Of Tommen. They have changed my life and I will never be the same.

I think it’s safe to say that this book BROKE ME. I’m not kidding when I say I had to take several breaks to proceed and I still cried every. single. time. It was probably one of the hardest stories I’ve ever read in my life and I couldn’t stop sobbing and hyperventilating. My chest physically hurt for the Lynch family and everything they had to endure. Their resilience will never cease to amaze me and I deeply admire how strong they are, because I sure as hell was panicking the whole time for them while I also just wanted to save and protect them at all costs.

Johnny and Shannon have become one of my favorite couples of all time. Their love was the purest and most beautiful thing I’ve witnessed in a long time. They have stolen my heart and a part of me will always belong to them. I could cry just thinking about how much they mean to me. Every time he called her “baby”, a thousand fairies were born. I’m sure of that. And I’m so proud of my girl Shannon and the beautiful woman she grew into. Kind, compassionate, strong, brave, and one of the sweetest souls ever. I felt so happy to see her healing. These two were each other’s comfort and lifeline, and yes, maybe it’s not usually the best thing for a relationship, but they were made for each other and there was nothing that could ever stop them from being together until the very end. My babies, they deserve all the peace and happiness in the world and I’m already missing them😭

Another thing that has made me fall irrevocably in love with this series is the found family aspect. I think I can say without a doubt that it’s my favorite trope EVER, and this one ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS. Clare & Gibsie are everything and they brought so much life and happiness into these people’s lives (and mine as well). One minute I was sobbing and immediately cracking up the next thanks to them. I need their book immediately. Also Aofie & Joey? I need him now. He will devastate me but I can’t wait to read his story next because I feel like he will become a new favorite of mine even if my heart shatters in the process. And Feely? Hughie? Lizzie? I love them all fiercely, and the way they all protected, defended and loved each other made me so so happy and warm. They are real to me.

And a big, HUGE, special shoutout to John and Edel Kavanagh because they are the real blueprint here. Johnny is the way he is and loves the way he does because he grew up watching that kind of love between his parents. They are caring, loving and the kindest people ever. I loved how they took care of the Lynch kids (I adore those precious souls so much😭) and Mommy K was absolutely hilarious 24/7 so I can safely declare myself her number one fan!

I’m so glad I decided to start this series because I am a changed woman and there’s something really special about it. These people are consuming my every waking thought and I can’t wait to keep getting my heart broken in the next book. They all better get their happy endings or I will RIOT. See you in my next dramatic review😮‍💨❤️‍🩹
