Missy is deliciously evil. She is my favorite version of the Master. I enjoyed the vast majority of the short stories in this book. The last one was the least enjoyable one. I will definitely get other Doctor Who books that feature Missy.

Delectable collection, holds Missy's incomparable voice throughout. If you've had a hankering for more Missy (more, more, more!), this is satisfying, at times laughoutloud surprising, with a few bright easter eggs. (Will reverse-spoil to mention, if you were hoping for a reenactment of The Wee Girl and the Volcano, it's not here.) Well worth a read.

Hoping it's popular enough we'll gain some novel-length adventures, not to mention Michelle Gomez on audio. Missy acolytes, lift your umbrellas to the sky!

Fabulous. Missy is so good she could kill me and it would weirdly be an honor?

The Missy Chronicles was so much fun! After the failed Legends of Ashildr book, I was apprehensive about reading another one of these one-off chronicles, but it seems that maybe the authors / publishers learned from their mistake with Ashildr and wrote a very fun select few short stories about Missy.

Allowing some bits and pieces of the Doctor (and Nardole, I love his so much! He needs a Chronicles written about him too!) just added to the delight of reading this book.

Definitely worth reading!

4.75 stars.
After reading this, I like Missy's character more than I did before. This is an overall enjoyable short story collection and, in my opinion, it's one of the best Doctor Who short story collections that I've read. There were also some unexpected appearances from certain characters. I especially love the character appearance in the Liar, the Glitch and the Wardrobe. If you like Missy's character, I highly recommend this.

Dismemberment.
4.5 stars.
When they kicked her out of the gentleman's Club, my first thought was they are going to really regret that. James Goss captured Missy's character so well in this story.

Lords and Masters.
4.5 stars.
This is on par with the first story. This had a slower pace to start with but it's a great story overall. It gradually gets more and more brilliant as the story goes on due to the plot twists. Those plot twists kept surprising me.

Teddy Sparkles Must Die.
3 stars.
This is my least favourite story because there are certain elements within it that I didn't particularly enjoy. But I liked the way it ended.

The Liar, The Glitch and the Wardrobe.
5 stars.
I absolutely love this story. This has to be one of my favourite stories in this collection. I enjoyed the plot, the characters and the Harry Potter references. Peter Anghelides captures Missy's character so well in this story. There's also an unexpected appearance from a character which I felt was a nice touch from Peter Anghelides.

Girl Power!
5 stars.
This is my second favourite story in this collection and I absolutely love it. This is a fun story which at times made me laugh (a lot). Jacqueline Raynor captures Missy's (and a few other characters) character really well.

Alit in Underland
4.5 stars.
I really enjoyed the plot and the way Richard Dinnick writes the characters in this. Richard Dinnick captures Missy's (and a few other characters) very well.

I really enjoyed this collection of short stories, some more than others. Some of them were really on point characterizing Missy, some were a bit too silly to my liking. Overall, it was a pleasure to read and discover more about this version of the Master.
I enjoyed most of all Dismemberment which gave a take on the first steps of a newly regenerated Master and Alit in Underland which showed the change between the Master and Missy, right before the event of The Doctor Falls.

It was fine. Paul Magrs' story was weak, as usual, and not helped by his compulsive need to be meta.
