A very gentle introduction to the game. Not a lot of content here compared with some other "first books"

Definitely a lively introduction go the game Go. This book takes the reader through all the basics of the game, such as how to play, how to secure territory, how to capture, and how to score. At the end of each chapter it lists some sample problems for the reader to work out and solidify what was taught. Definitely a good read for anyone interested in learning the rules to of Go, and much more detailed and explicit than any of the internet tutorials I found on the game. I am definitely going to pick up the second one, which starts to elaborate on strategy.
