Idk I read 75% of this. This was AWFUL. Idk what happened I usually love everything by Emma Lord, but this was just so boring and hard to get through. I kept pushing through I long it’d get better but it didn’t.

After reading it, I immediately went and read other books by this author.

It is a bit nostalgic as someone who is college aged to think back on the feelings and decisions that high school graduates face. But also filled with the whimsical, hope filled anything is possible regarding the future and friends :)

Maybe it’s ’cause I’m graduating in like two weeks but this made me cry and I kinda feel like I need to move to New York now??

Emma Lord does such a good job of depicting emotionally intensity of the brink of adulthood and the relationships you couldn't bear if you lost. I always love NYC more through reading her books (even though I've never lived there and don't need to). The friend group in this one was sweet, and I loved the brownie restaurant - would very much like that to exist in real life.
